Transformers: The Movie(1986)

Transformers: The Movie
80’s Metal was created to fill this movie beginning to end.

With the much anticipated live action Transformers movie due out very soon it is only right to get the juices flowing with a review of the classic 1986 animated feature, Transformers: The Movie.

First and foremost. This movie is nonstop adrenaline from the minute the movie kicks off. In parts that could start to slow down they are rapidly picked back up again by not only action sequences but shredding guitar riffs and high pitched 80’s hair metal singers. The movie takes place after the cartoon that also aired in the 80’s. It finds all the characters you love smashed right into the early scenes.

The movie has it’s cheesy moments but it’s from the 80’s so what do you expect. The story isn’t too bad but it’s pretty typical. Good versus Bad.

Every action scene is sprawled out with great animation and effects. The animation may seem a little raw but that’s what makes some of the scenes so great. There is not only a since of nostalgia but also a sense of excitement, again driven by the amazing music.

For anyone stoked to see the new Transformers movie this may hold you over. It follows the story of the cartoon very well and represent the Transformers name very well. Any fan should probably have this one but if not go check it out. It is loaded with special features and though it may not eliminate the months still ahead till the movie comes out. It will get you ready for the live action chaos that will ensue.
