Thanks for your comment Anita, It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with this movie, this movie review or anything in general, but thanks for stopping by.

I might point out on a political level, that having a free society enables such nifty things as the internet where I can freely write a movie review and you can freely share your comments even if they are half baked.

That was a great review Robert and definitely makes me want to go run out and see the movie. I love that analogy about gods way of not making her see the lousy conditions around her.

I would suggest that Movies are not intended to instruct us in how we should live. However, they can help provide us insight into one of the millions of possibilities that exist.

So in this case this one method won the day. A hundred movies could be made showing how the method lost the day.

Similarly, a hundred movies could be made to show how discipline and punishment could lose the day and then another hundred to show how they might make the characters stronger and win.(Like that movie 300 as an example. 300 Spartans trained under the cruelest of conditions and told to defend an un-unified Greece against invaders on a mountain pass.

Definitely was a great movie. Nothing like a rebel with out a cause Detroit cop turned lose in the land of the beautiful with more scams up his sleeve than some people have bananas up their tail pipes . . .

Sounds like this might be one of those movies that is best viewed on cable and later becomes one of those cable classic that are great to watch over and over again.

Kind of like Army of Darkness or something. The predictability almost becomes campy and that makes it into something entertaining on a different level. In a way that almost captures an unintended essence of comic books themselves . . . .

I haven’t seen this yet, but did catch all the previews and historical intro’s that they blast on the history channel for movies like this these days.

I do like the history lesson up front so that I can better understand everything around a movie.
